Biographies
Rick
Maiero, Chief Executive Officer
Rick Maiero brings over 25 years of experience developing high technology
products for the enterprise and hosted services markets. Rick was President/COO
of Keylime Software, a developer of hosted Enterprise CRM systems which
is now part of Yahoo. As a management consulting partner, he has served
in a wide range of executive roles in companies such as Marimba, Egghead
SW, Fujitsu, and ISI/Windriver.
Fred
McClain, Chief Technical Officer, Founder
Fred McClain has been a computer industry innovator for over 25 years.
He has launched several entrepreneurial efforts, from consumer Internet
services to ventures bridging industry and government research. He founded
SkyDesk, a pioneer in online data backup services for the small office/home
office market. Mr. McClain holds patents for the algorithms employed
in SkyDesk's core @Backup service. Prior to SkyDesk, he was Chief Architect
for data storage and management products at OpenVision Technologies.
He co-founded the National Storage Laboratory (NSL) and in 1984 co-founded
the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC).
